I sighed as I said, “Well, I feel that being depressed is the appropriate emotion for my life. I mean, my life is meaningless.”
He looked concerned, “Look, I can’t tell you what is meaningful for you. All I can do is increase your dosage, suggest changing how you live, or book a psychologist.”
I didn’t answer.
He said, “Shall I just increase your dosage?”
I didn’t want more drugs, I wanted meaning.
